During this one week time period, the Central Marin Police Authority had 549 calls for service. This included six calls related to hit-and-run accidents, one minor-injury accident, no major-injury accidents and 12 property-damage-only accidents. There was one commercial burglary, three residential burglaries and six auto burglaries. There were two calls related to driving while intoxicated, and one DUI arrest.
Corte Madera: A caller advised via 9-1-1 that he was following a possible DUI driver. The caller said the driver hit a parked vehicle on Prince Royal Drive. The collision was located and medical was requested for a solo driver collision with airbag deployment. A Corte Madera resident was treated at the scene, arrested for driving under the influence and booked into Marin County Jail. The registered owner of the parked vehicle was located and advised.
Corte Madera: A Tamalpais Drive resident reported there was a male subject yelling and cursing to the rear of the business in the bushes. Officers responded and contacted a San Rafael resident who was arrested for resisting arrest and violation of probation. He was booked into Marin County Jail.
Corte Madera: A called advised via 9-1-1 there was a fire in the marsh across from The Village Shopping Center. Officers assisted the fire departments. Fire officials determined the fire began in the area of the homeless encampments. A propane tank reportedly exploded during the fire, but no one was injured. An incident report was taken.
Corte Madera: An officer advised being out with a citizen who flagged him down on Paradise Drive. The citizen reported a possible intoxicated subject. A homeless man was arrested for public intoxication and was booked into Marin County Jail.
San Anselmo: A Broadmoor Avenue resident reported her sister was refusing to leave the residence. Officers responded and arrested a Novato woman for violation of court order and booked her into Marin County Jail.
Greenbrae: A South Eliseo Drive resident reported the construction container near his home was broken into. The construction company was notified and a commercial burglary report was taken.
San Anselmo: An employee of a business on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard reported the property had been entered. Items were determined to have been moved and some property was located outside of the fence. Documentation was provided.
Larkspur: An employee of a business on Magnolia Avenue reported the fenced area of the property had been entered and items were taken. A report was taken.
San Anselmo: A Terrace Avenue resident reported the sides of two of his vehicles were damaged and the tires were slashed. Documentation was provided.
Greenbrae: A caller on Via Casitas advised via 9-1-1 her son had been drinking and she wanted him out of the residence. The fire department responded for an extremely intoxicated subject and transported him to Marin General Hospital. After medical clearance, a Venice resident was arrested for trespassing and booked into Marin County Jail.
San Anselmo: A caller advised of a possible intoxicated male, yelling and cursing near Redhill Shopping Center. Officers contacted a subject and conducted a probation search with negative results. A Fairfax man was advised of the complaint and sent on his way
Corte Madera: A Casa Buena Drive resident reported someone just attempted to break into his residence by smashing in the door. The resident did not see anyone, but heard someone run down the stairs. An independent witness reported the suspect’s vehicle was a black, late model Chevy pick-up truck. A canvass was completed with unsuccessful results. A residential burglary report was taken.
San Anselmo: A Bell Avenue resident reported someone broke into her storage space at the apartment and took her bicycle. A report was taken.
Corte Madera: A Casa Buena Drive resident reported someone broke into her residence and stole her jewelry. A residential burglary report was taken.
Larkspur: A witness at a business on Magnolia Avenue saw a male subject take a client’s bicycle. Officers checked the area and the subject was not located. A grand theft report was taken.
Greenbrae: The Larkspur Fire Department advised it was out with an intoxicated subject at Drakes Landing Road. Officers contacted a Novato resident who was arrested for public intoxication. After being medically cleared at Marin General Hospital, the subject was booked into Marin County Jail.
San Anselmo: An Agatha Court resident reported a window to his locked vehicle was smashed and items were taken. An auto burglary report was taken.
Larkspur: A Penngrove resident reported her vehicle had a window smashed and her laptop was taken while it was parked at a business on East Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. An auto burglary report was taken. While checking the area, an officer located another vehicle with a window smash. The vehicle’s owner was located and a report was taken.
